In April 2009 Australia21 launched its Next Big Question (NBQ) project, with the assistance of Australia’s Chief Scientist, an Australian Nobel Laureate and a former Australian of the Year. By asking Australians what they consider to be the Next Big Question, this project aims to create a conversation on the important questions facing Australia, and to provide insight into the type of Australia we want to create in the 21st century. The next generation has a key contribution to make to this conversation. In collaboration with the Australian Youth Forum (AYF), via its national online platform, Australia21 has now involved a wide array of young Australians in the NBQ project.
