DR RODNEY SYME, ASSISTED DYING CAMPAIGNER ON ABC ‘AUSTRALIAN STORY’
Voluntary euthanasia and assisted suicide are important yet ethically challenging issues in contemporary Australian society. ABC’s ‘Australian Story’ featured Dr Rodney Syme, a medical practitioner who has campaigned to legalise voluntary euthanasia for the terminally ill, in its episode ‘My conscience tells me’ on 7 March 2016. Dr Syme participated in Australia21’s roundtable on assisted dying in January 2013.
I have early dementia. My Grandfather, Father, Brother and Aunty all died from Dementia. I nursed my father and brother. I believe in Euthanasia. When I get bad I want to end my life but I am driving myself crazy to work out the best way. I have heard of Swhitsland. Ideas please
